The Truckee River Watershed Council is a local non-profit that needed a website that had:

• brochure information about their org
• an interactive events calendar with user registration
• an online donation component (integrated with Auth.net)
• reporting tools for local invasive weeds

A number of components were installed on top of the base platform of Joomla: CiviCRM, JEvents with registration, Lightbox galleries, Google Maps API. An entire custom component to handle weed reporting was developed using mySQL and PHP, and then ported into the Joomla site. A ‘Weed Warrior Admin Area’ was also built to review and approve weed reports, add species information and identification pictures, and export all reports in a CSV format to agencies.
